L.A. Dance Magic Nationals Update

Nationals are quickly approaching and we could not be more excited for our upcoming trip! The girls have been working hard and we are confident that they are going to do amazing at nationals. L.A. Dance Magic has just today stopped accepting entry fees for nationals. This means that they will now be able to start to set a permanent schedule as far as exact times for the convention and competition. As soon as we get that information we will get it to you as fast as we can. The note we send home with the detailed schedule will also have information concerning exactly where your dancer needs to meet us and when they need to be there. We will also send home contact info so that we can be communicating with each other once we are in California. We want to remind you as we have in past notes that all solos/duos/and trios are scheduled right now for Monday July 6th. We have spoken to L.A. Dance Magic and they have told us that those could start as early as 7:30am that day. If you have signed up to do a solo/duo/trio please make sure that you arrive at a time before this so that you are guaranteed to be there when you are scheduled.
In May we sent home a note informing you that the studio was going to have you pay a deposit on Nationals. We did this in hopes that this would somehow make it easier for you financially to pay for this. As stated on the June calendars, it is now time to pay the balance on Nationals. Below we have put the balance that still needs to be paid. We need this balance to be taken care of by Wednesday June 24th.
On Friday July 10th L.A. Dance Magic has what they call their Xtreme Dance Challenge. This is a closing night gala or finale and is what they do to wrap up the whole week of Nationals. In the Xtreme Dance Challenge they have picked from all age categories dances to compete for the overall top dances of the week. There is no guarantee that dancers will make it into the dance challenge, but we feel that are girls have a very good chance of doing so. In order to come to the dance challenge you must purchase tickets. This is a huge event where dinner is served, formal wear is worn, there is a faculty show and then the dance challenge happens. Tickets for this dance challenge are on sale right now at ladancemagic.com for $75 a person. In years past tickets need to be purchased in advance because they have usually sold out before even getting to California. Again I want to remind you that there is no guarantee that our dancers will be in the Xtreme Dance Challenge, but I feel confident that they will. It is up to you to make the decision if you wish to go or not. Dancers that are in the dance challenge are not required to purchase a ticket. As for right now that is everything that we have for you as far as Nationals goes. The final schedule should be getting set and emailed to us in the next week or so.
